Archive Question #0060

For my homework, I was asked to research the 'Prince Of The Pagodas' and was given no more information- please can you help?

Hi there Persephone. The Prince of the Pagodas is a ballet by Benjamin Britten, an English composer written in 1957. It has been one of the showpieces of the Royal Ballet but has rather lapsed into obscurity! It has been accused of being rather too long and a mix-up of lots of other fairy-tale ballets.

If you can get hold of the Grove Music Encyclopaedia, look it up under Britten to find out a bit more! Hope that is of some help.
