Please could you tell me the role of the organs during homeostasis?

Good definition at http://www.fwkc.com/encyclopedia/low/articles/h/h011001144f.html good examples at this revision page: http://biology.colchsfc.ac.uk/brian/homeost.html
or take a short test at http://chsweb.uwic.ac.uk/gbond/homeostasis.htm

Greg

I know this one! Different Organs play separate parts in the process. The skin, for example, regulates outside body temperature by sweating if you're too hot (The sweat evaporates, taking some of the surface temperature with it), If you're too cold, you get goosebumps. In ancient times, this helped to control heat loss by making a layer of air that was trapped in the fur of prehistoric man. That's just about all I know. Have fun Ads.
