Archive Question #0104

Please help!!-In 1974 if people were spread evenly over the world roughly how many people would there be to every square mile- what's the answer please.

Your need to break down this problem into three parts. 1. How many people were there in 1974 - get an estimate from http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/worldhis.html 2. How many square miles are there in the world. 3. do some maths. (Well hopefully you can get an estimate on population from the source above and maybe you can find the sq milage from a good atlas).
