Can you tell how LEDs work? Like which leg
is the positive end and which is the negative end. Can you refer
me to sites which have house circuits designs and toaster circuit
designs.Thanx
There is a page of technical information about
LED's at the following address: The site is all about the latest
thing in LED's which is WHITE light emitting ones. (Until very recently
they were only able to give out RED YELLOW and GREEN then came BLUE
and now WHITE can be achieved which opens up a whole new range of
possible applications. http://www.theledlight.com/technical.html
As for House circuit designs and toaster circuit designs - I'm afraid
I do not know what you are after. House circuits are Mains Electricity
and should really only be tackled by a qualified electrician - Toasters
on the other hand tend not to be very sophisticated in that they
rarely have electronics in them - it is usually a system of mechanical
latches and a thing called a bi-metallic switch which is the thing
which pings halfway through toasting. It is a thin strip of metal
(actually two different metals sandwiched together) which bends
as it warms-up. It is located next to a heater which gets warm at
the same time as the elements that actually toast the bread do.
This little heater warms the bi-metalic strip which bends until
it pings the electricity to the heater off. The bi-metallic switch
then cools down and un-bends and, as it un-bends, it releases the
latch and the toast pops up!
