Archive Question #0137

I hope you can help me or direct me somewhere to someone that can.My son has just received his Key Stage 1 results soring straight 3's. I realise he has done well but I am having trouble bringing into context just how well as I have nothing to judge against. Perhaps you can help.

Hi, I have just done my keystage 3 SATS, and got an 8 in maths. I know that this is equilvent to a B in GCSE. I know also that if he has a 3 in KS1, he is predicted to get a 5/6 in KS2 and 8 in KS3 (year 9). 3 is the top score in KS1. I wish you the best of luck with future results.

James

your son has achieved a level expected of a child in year 4...... it works like this... key stage 1 sats = expected result= level 2. key stage 2 sats (year 6 child) = expected result = level 4
