Interactive Learning - History

The following Macromedia Shockwave sites are excellent for some interactive revision and can assist in the learning process.

BBC Education - Modern World History - Read about world history from 1915-45 before taking a quiz. Includes an overview time-line of Western history and a section for teachers.

- Animation traces the earth's history from the big bang to quaternary period. See the time-line menu of geological periods.

- Retrace Charles' Lindbergh's historical transatlantic trip. Find out what the flight conditions were on every leg of the trip.

- Drag the shards of a broken pot and fit the correct pieces together to reconstruct an ancient vessel.

Doctor Over Time - Track the progress of medicine over time. Choose a symptom to see what the doctor's diagnosis for the disease would be in 1900, 1958, and 1998.

Don't forget the other History Pages.
