During year 10 and 11 (earlier if you want) start a revision notebook to help you when exam revision time comes.

Each time you are set homework make a note under the relevant subject topic in your revision notebook. Include the following details:

  • Subject
  • Date homework set
  • Topics being covered this week in this subject at school
  • Your school book you completed your homework in.

An example is:

  • Maths
  • 23rd November 1999
  • Pythagoras theorem
  • work done in second maths workbook

When you start serious regular revision. You can use your revision notebook to see what topics you covered during your school time, and what workbook the homework is in. Use this information to create a revision plan.

You can also check your revision notebook against the national curriculum.
