Tip #3

Make sure you understand what you are being asked to do.

Before you start your homework take a few moments to make sure that you know what you are being asked to do.

Review the questions/assignment, and make a few short notes about what the task is, and how you think you will address it.

This simple check will:

  • make sure you only do what you have been asked
  • stop simple misunderstandings
  • set you up for the actual homework 'task'

Some examples:

Review: Work through section 3 in maths book and write answers in Maths Workbook

Review: Investigate the worlds highest 7 waterfalls, find the waterfalls, get the facts, work out how to present the work

Review: Revise act 2 of Romeo and Juliet - How - record onto tape and play back
