Tip #38

Eleven times tables.

To multiply a two digit number be eleven add the numbers together and squeeze the answer in between the original number.

Eg. 54 times 11. Five plus four is nine so the answer is 594.

When the answer to the adding-up is more than ten - just increase the first number of the answer by one and put the other number inbetween.

Eg. 75 times 11 - seven and five is twelve so the seven becomes eight and the two goes in between making 825.

Thanks Mr Physics for this great suggestion.
